Here's a list of do's and don'ts;
Do
not throw small stuff (shovel work) on top of larger (hand sized) debris.
We can't shovel it because of the big items and we can't pull out the big
items because of the shovel work.
Gather everything together and pile it in an accessible spot.
(We need 9' wide
and 10' overhead in order to back up to it.)
We realize that this is not practical for all people and are more than willing to provide the labor.
Do not put thin plastic under shovel work.
Put small stuff towards the front of the pile and larger things towards
the back.
Do not pile on ivy, behind tree or in hole.
Leave tree limbs long. They're easier to load (quicker) and take up less
space.

A Washington DC lawyer was opening the door of his BMW when a car came along and hit it, ripping the door off its hinges. The police arrived and found the lawyer hopping up and down with rage, complaining bitterly about the damage to his precious car.
"You lawyers are so materialistic--you make me sick,"
a police officer commented, shaking his head in disgust. "You're so worried
about your beautiful BMW that you didn't even notice that your left arm
was ripped off."
"Oh, no!" said the lawyer, looking down and noticing
the bloody stump where his arm had been. "Where's my Rolex?"
